Numeracy plays such an important role in everyday life — from budgeting and shopping, to cooking, travel, problem-solving, and making informed decisions. Building confidence with numbers from an early age helps give children valuable skills that will support them throughout their education and into adult life.

As part of the celebrations, the school is inviting parents and carers to become involved through a really positive Numeracy Partnership Project. Children will be bringing home a special scrapbook activity designed to encourage families to work together on fun, practical numeracy tasks linked to everyday life.

Helpful prompts and strategies will also be included to support families while completing the activities together. It’s wonderful to see schools encouraging not only learning in the classroom, but also creating opportunities for families to learn, talk, and engage together at home.

A huge well done to all the staff, pupils, parents, and carers involved — and I hope everyone has great fun taking part in the activities over the coming weeks. Scrapbooks to be returned to school by Friday 12th June.
