It’s now just over a month to go until Age Without Limits Day taking place on Wednesday 10th June, and this year’s theme focuses on something very simple — but incredibly powerful:

The power of questions. Why does that matter?

Because questions encourage us to pause, think differently, and challenge assumptions we may not even realise we hold. When it comes to ageism — one of the most normalised and often overlooked forms of discrimination — simply questioning attitudes and stereotypes can help create real change. Every generation has value. Every person has experience, wisdom, individuality, and something important to contribute to our communities.

Age Without Limits Day is about encouraging positive conversations around ageing, challenging outdated stereotypes, and helping create communities where people of all ages feel respected, included, and valued. There are lots of ways individuals, organisations, community groups, and local residents can get involved, including: Hosting conversations or local discussions Sharing awareness posts online Displaying posters and resources locally Encouraging intergenerational activities Challenging assumptions around ageing in everyday life.

Sometimes the smallest conversations can have the biggest impact. This feels particularly important at a time when many older residents can experience loneliness, isolation, or feel overlooked despite the enormous contribution they continue to make to families, volunteering, community life, and society as a whole.

Let’s continue building communities where people are valued not because of their age — but because of who they are. https://mailchi.mp/.../age-without-limits-day-and-more...#AgeWithoutLimitsDay #QuestionAgeism
