There are currently a wide range of funding opportunities available across Wales for community groups, sports clubs, charities, environmental projects, local initiatives, and volunteer organisations. Sometimes even relatively small grants can make a huge difference to local communities
Here are some of the latest opportunities currently available:
Be Active Wales FundCommunity and sports groups can apply for up to £50,000 of National Lottery funding for equipment and coaching courses.https://sport.wales/funding/be-active-wales Expressions of Interest open until 29th May 2026
Comic Relief – Cwtch Communities FundGrants between £15,000 and £35,000 to support organisations providing warm, safe, practical support within communities across Wales.https://wcva.cymru/comic-relief-cwtch-communities/ Community and Town Councils cannot apply directly, but local groups and partnerships may be eligible.
Coalfields Community Capital Grant (Wales)Capital funding from £500 to £7,000 to help safeguard, maintain, or improve community facilities in eligible coalfield areas.
