I wanted to help highlight a number of grant opportunities currently being made available through Carmarthenshire County Council to support community activity, regeneration, sustainability, and local events across the county.
Among the opportunities available is the 10 Towns Town Centre Events Fund, which aims to support new or enhanced community events that help increase footfall, support local economies, encourage community participation, and celebrate the rich culture and heritage of rural Carmarthenshire.
Grants of up to £2,000 are available for eligible projects. Applications for the Events Fund opened on 11th May 2026 and close on 30th June 2026, with supported projects required to be completed by 31st December 2026.
There is also a Community Renewable Energy Grant available to support energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements to community assets across the county, alongside the ongoing 10 Towns Capital Development Fund, focused on bringing vacant or underused town centre properties back into use.
These funding opportunities could make a real difference locally by helping community groups, charities, organisations, and councils develop projects, improve facilities, create events, and strengthen community life across Carmarthenshire.
