The latest Spring/Summer 2026 edition of the Pride in Your Patch newsletter highlights the incredible difference volunteers continue to make across Carmarthenshire — and the figures are truly inspiring.
Between April 2025 and March 2026: 1,499 community clean-up events took place 3,846 volunteers got involved 1,393 bags of recyclable litter were collected 4,433 bags of waste were removed from our communities.
From towns and villages to riversides, beauty spots and rural communities, volunteers of all ages are helping to protect and improve the places we all share. Whether through organised groups, individual litter picks, Duke of Edinburgh activities or community volunteering, local people continue to show outstanding pride in our county.
A special mention was also given to young volunteers making a difference across Carmarthenshire, including Daniel Long from Llandovery, whose commitment to keeping his local area clean and cared for was recognised as truly commendable.
