I have been made aware of concerns raised by residents regarding anti-social behaviour and large groups gathering in parts of Burry Port and the surrounding area. It is important to remember that everyone, including young people, has the right to enjoy our parks, streets and public spaces.
However, behaviour that causes alarm, distress, intimidation, damage or disruption to others is not acceptable and can have a significant impact on the wider community. There is also absolutely no place in our communities for hate crime or hate-related incidents. Any behaviour targeting an individual because of their race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or transgender identity is unacceptable and may constitute a criminal offence.
If you witness anti-social behaviour, have concerns about large gatherings causing issues, or become aware of hate crime or hate-related incidents, please report them. Information provided by residents helps Dyfed-Powys Police identify patterns, direct patrols and take appropriate action where needed.
Non-emergency incidents can be reported via 101 or online. In an emergency, always call 999.Our communities are welcoming, diverse and caring places to live. By working together, showing respect for one another and reporting concerns when they arise, we can help ensure that they remain safe, welcoming and respectful places for everyone.
