Funded through the Welsh Government’s Priorities for Culture Capital Grant scheme, the new galleries aim to reinterpret the Museum’s collections and improve public access.

Commemorate Gallery Located in the Main Hall, this gallery will display the Museum’s collection of inscribed standing stones for the first time in more than six years. It will also include paintings of historical Carmarthenshire figures, Roman artefacts and updated interpretation of the Picton Monument frieze.

Create, Commission, Collect Gallery

It will also display objects representing creative practices across different periods and will be available for community activities.

Discovery Gallery
