One of the things I love most about our community is how much we value people of every age. But across the UK, ageism still creeps into everyday life — in the way people are spoken to, the assumptions made about them, and the opportunities they’re offered. It’s more common than many realise, and it affects people both young and old.

Ageism isn’t harmless. Research shows it can leave people feeling undervalued, patronised, or pushed to the sidelines. Over time, those negative messages can chip away at confidence and limit what people feel able to do or achieve. None of us should have to carry that.

That’s why the Age Without Limits campaign matters. It’s a three‑year effort to challenge ageism wherever it appears — in workplaces, in the media, and in the everyday conversations we all take part in.

The campaign includes: -

• National advertising to spark conversations

• Age Without Limits Day

• Year‑round actions and resources to help shift attitudes.

The message is simple: -

everyone deserves the freedom to age without limits. And the truth is, we all have a part to play. Whether it’s challenging stereotypes, choosing our words more thoughtfully, or making sure people of every age feel included and respected, small actions add up.

If you’d like to learn more or get involved, the campaign has plenty of ways to take part and help build a future where ageism has no place.

Let’s keep working together to make our community one where everyone — at every stage of life — feels valued, respected, and able to live without limits.
