I wanted to help share details of an important upcoming Service of Remembrance being organised to mark 15 years since British Forces withdrew from Iraq.

This special service will take place on:

📅 Saturday 23rd May
📍 Garrison Church Christchurch (Swansea).

The event will bring together serving personnel, reservists, veterans, families, and members of the wider community in a dignified moment of remembrance, reflection, and respect for all those connected to Operation Telic.

Anniversaries such as these are incredibly important. They provide an opportunity not only to remember the service, courage, sacrifice, and commitment of those who deployed, but also to recognise the families who carried the burden of separation, uncertainty, and worry back home.

Whether directly connected to the Armed Forces community or simply wishing to show support and gratitude, all are warmly invited to attend and stand together in remembrance.

A sincere thank you as well to Swansea Veterans Hub CIO and everyone involved in helping ensure this important anniversary is marked with the dignity and respect it deserves.

If any organisations, associations, or groups wish to enquire about wreath laying arrangements, they are encouraged to contact the organisers directly...

These occasions remind us that remembrance is not only about history — it is also about community, support, understanding, and ensuring service and sacrifice are never forgotten. 🌺
