I just wanted to take a moment to recognise the team at Pembrey and Burry Port Town Council for their swift response to a recent request to clear some rubbish just off Dol Helyg.
The issue was reported and collected and removed within 24 hours — fair play to you 👏
A quick thank you as well to the very community-minded residents who brought this to my attention. Taking the time to highlight issues like this really does help keep our area looking its best.
I appreciate it’s not always possible to offer that level of turnaround every time, but it’s important to acknowledge it when it does happen… and in fairness, it probably happens more often than people realise.
We all know social media can sometimes focus on the negatives, with a few quick to criticise whenever anything is mentioned about the local council — but it’s just as important that we highlight the positives and the good work being done on the ground.
So a genuine thank you to the staff involved — your efforts don’t go unnoticed and are very much appreciated by the silent majority of people. Well done 👍
