Burry Port Community Primary School is reaching out to our wonderful community for a little help in creating exciting, imaginative, and engaging learning spaces for their Year 1 and Year 2 pupils.
The school is looking for donations of everyday household items, role-play resources, loose parts, and outdoor learning materials that can be given a new lease of life in the classroom and outdoor learning areas.
From old pots and pans, cushions, blankets, dolls, toy household items and photo frames, to wooden blocks, wicker baskets, milk crates, cable reels, buckets, funnels, tubes and other creative materials, many of the items being sought are things that may simply be sitting unused in garages, sheds, lofts, or cupboards.
These resources play a valuable role in helping children learn through creativity, exploration, problem-solving, imagination, and role play.
🌟 Every donation, no matter how small, can help create opportunities for children to learn, discover, and develop important life skills through play.
If you have any of the items listed in the school's appeal and would be willing to donate them, I'm sure the school would be delighted to hear from you.
Please take a look through the attached lists to see if there is anything you may be able to spare.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support our local schools and young people. Community kindness and generosity can make a real difference.
