Funding Opportunity: Be Active Wales Fund Now Open
Sports clubs and community organisations across Wales are being encouraged to apply for funding through the Sport Wales Be Active Wales Fund.
The fund provides grants ranging from £300 to £50,000, aimed at increasing participation in sport and physical activity at a local level.
What Can Be Funded:
The programme supports a wide range of initiatives, including:
Equipment to enable more people to take part
Coaching and entry-level training courses
Venue hire for new teams or sections
Pitch improvement and facility development
Funding is particularly focused on grassroots sport and projects that create new opportunities for participation.

Additional Notes:
Some funding categories have capped limits (e.g. floodlighting, surfaces, and equipment), and certain criteria apply — such as funding for new teams only in relation to venue hire, and eligibility rules for coaching courses.
