1. Improving Community Wellbeing in Carmarthenshire
Carmarthenshire County Council is asking residents to help shape the support, activities, and services that boost wellbeing, tackle loneliness, and strengthen community life.
They’re building on feedback gathered in 2023 — so whether your needs have changed or stayed the same, this is your chance to tell them what really matters to you.
If you use community services locally, please take a few minutes to complete the survey. Your views directly influence the support available.

2. School Admissions & Catchment Areas Consultation (2027/28)
Carmarthenshire County Council has reviewed the proposed admissions arrangements for the 2027/28 academic year and is now seeking feedback.
This consultation covers:
• Catchment areas for mainstream schools
• School transport considerations
• Oversubscription criteria
• Admissions processes in line with the Admissions Code
Voluntary Aided Schools set their own policies and are consulting separately.
This does not affect parents’ rights to apply for any school of their choice.

3. Your Town. Your Voice. Your Future
A series of drop-in community events are being held this month where residents can share ideas on shaping the next steps for our towns.
Drop-in dates (3pm–7pm, all welcome):
24 February — 1 Stepney Precinct
25 February — Towy Community Church, St Catherine’s Walk, Carmarthen
26 February — Pensioner’s Hall, Ammanford
These events are relaxed, informal, and a great way to talk directly with the teams planning for our area’s future.
Drop in anytime, share your ideas, and help shape the future of your town.
Your voice truly helps shape our community — whether it’s wellbeing support, school places, or the future of our towns. If you can spare a few minutes, please take part in one or more of these consultations.
