Need Help Moving from ESA to Universal Credit?
Support Is Available Across Carmarthenshire.
Many people are currently being moved from Employment Support Allowance (ESA) to Universal Credit (UC) — and understandably, this can feel worrying, confusing, or overwhelming.
If you or someone you know is unsure about what this change means, what you’re entitled to, or how to manage the transition, support is available locally and completely free.
Citizens Advice is Coming to Our Local Hwbs.
Citizens Advice advisors will be visiting Carmarthenshire’s Hwbs over the next few weeks to answer questions, explain the process, and help make sure you receive the financial support you’re entitled to.
Drop in anytime between 9:30am and 2:30pm: -
Monday, 2 March – Carmarthen Hwb.
Tuesday, 10 March – Ammanford Hwb.
Wednesday, 18 March – Llanelli Hwb.
There’s no need to book — just come along.
What Support Is Available?
At each Hwb, you’ll be able to speak with: -
Citizens Advice specialists for ESA → UC migration questions.
Hwb advisors who can help you make a Claim What’s Yours application.
Staff who can check your eligibility for other financial support.
People who can guide you through forms, digital applications, or evidence requirements.
Whether it’s concerns about your payments, health-related elements, or safeguarding your entitlement, you won’t be alone.
