🚓 Volunteer Police Officer Opportunity – Special Constables
I wanted to highlight a valuable opportunity currently available with Dyfed-Powys Police, which may be of interest to residents across our community.
The force is recruiting Volunteer Police Officers (Special Constables)—a role that plays an important part in supporting frontline policing and helping keep our communities safe.
Special Constables work alongside regular officers and are involved in a wide range of activities, including responding to incidents, supporting victims of crime, assisting with investigations, policing events, and helping to keep our roads safe.
One of the key benefits of this role is its flexibility. Volunteers are asked to commit a minimum of 16 hours per month, which can include evenings and weekends, making it accessible for those with other work or personal commitments. Full training is provided through a structured programme.
Applications are open now, with a closing date of 29 April 2026, and training scheduled to begin later in the year.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to give something back, gain new skills, and play an active role in supporting their local community.
