The full Town Council meets on the third Wednesday of every month (except for August) and may meet more regularly if there is a need to do so.
All members may attend and the Council meeting is Chaired by the Mayor or the Deputy Mayor in his/her absence.
The Town Council has overall responsibility for the policies, strategies and major decisions taken to meet the role and duties of the Council.
It establishes Standing Committees at each annual meeting and delegates power to them to deal with specific areas of work.

Facilities and Assets Committee.
Meeting on the first Wednesday of the month.
Its role is to manage all the Council’s properties and assets including all rentals of rooms/halls, the Cemetery, the Bowls facility, all parks and open spaces as well as all children’s play areas and to look after all pathways, public lights etc. that are the responsibility of the Town Council.
The main role of this committee is to oversee action to improve the communities wellbeing and to instigate and deliver, either directly or through others, projects and activities that will improve the quality of life of our community.
Its role is to examine all planning applications in the community and to supply recommended feedback of the Town Councils views on to the County Council.
