An official Flood Alert has been issued by Natural Resources Wales covering the Carmarthenshire coastline between Pendine and Hendy (east of Llanelli). The alert is in place due to Storm Dave, which is expected to bring large waves and coastal swell around the evening high tide on Saturday 4th April. As a result, flooding of low-lying land and roads is possible.

Residents and visitors are advised of an ongoing emergency incident in Lady Street, Kidwelly, following a significant fire at a residential property in the early hours of this morning. Carmarthenshire County Council has confirmed that waste and recycling collection days will be temporarily revised over the Easter bank holiday period to ensure services continue to operate efficiently.

The completion of the final 13-mile stretch between Abergwili and Ffairfach marks a significant milestone for the county. This final phase includes the installation of two landmark bridges crossing the River Tywi and River Cothi, helping to create a continuous, safe, and accessible route for walkers, cyclists, families, and visitors.
